**UPDATES BELOW** Very unfortunate incident involving two FastSign installers, that was made worse by the owner/manager who was unwilling to address the service issues we had. The owner/manager at this San Diego Midway FastSigns actually tried to dodge and avoid the service issue at hand. I have historically used FastSigns, including this particular franchise store, but now, I will never use the brand or the franchise operator again. I will be removing my glowing review from last year as well. Disappointing ending to years as a customer of this store. I like to point out the good as well, shout out to Nayeli for being a great partner and representation for the FastSigns company over the years. I hope the owner/manager of this store knows what he has here, he needs more employees like Nayeli around. In fact, if the owner was smart, he would pair her up with the installers to cover some customer engagement training for those guys. **UPDATED RESPONSE TO FASTSIGNS** This is a very disappointing response from a representative of a large brand. Many things in your statement were taken out of context and I believe your employees (the installers) took it too far. On the other hand, being asked to vacate the premises by a customer should never happen, and I’m sure the installers had to come up with something to explain it all to the home office. Nobody ever called for the installers to be reprimanded at any point, I certainly never did and I still don’t. I did not ask the two men to leave the hotel because of the one installer speaking to me from a few feet away, at a notch under yelling while in the middle of the hotel lobby, he eventually brought his volume down and even apologized… that turned out ok and I appreciated it. The issue was with the second installer, who continued to be argumentative and confrontational in the hotel public space. I ultimately had to diffuse the situation by asking them both to leave the job. What I was looking for from the owner/manager, was for him to listen to my concerns, a little empathy goes a long way. I was hoping he would share their training practices, because as a long-time customer, all I needed to know was that they have training in place to help develop their employees’ customer service skills. In my last review, I even gave a suggestion of one employee who would be great for that purpose. I manage 75 employees myself. I’ve worked in hotels for twenty years and also native to San Diego. I find it highly disrespectful and disingenuous the position you’ve taken, absolutely ridiculous.

Friendliness, speed, quality, communication - as as the owner of a branding agency having a supplier you can count on is really really important. I was very impressed with this sign shop and suggest you consider using them as well. I'm also one of the founders of this fledgling organization, Don't Trash Mission Beach - and we had a big event on Saturday and we got the art to them on Monday and they were able to turn it around quickly. That was SO helpful for us and it made our event shine. Below is a photo of the sign they made using our art. It was beautiful!
