AI Chatbot

Add a signage-trained assistant to your website that answers customer questions, represents your company, and captures leads while you are busy running the shop.

A Website Assistant Built for Sign Shops

Signtag's AI Chatbot is designed to help sign companies respond to website visitors faster. Instead of leaving potential customers to browse your site alone, the chatbot can answer common signage questions, explain what your company offers, and collect the details needed to follow up on a real project.

The chatbot is located in your Signtag account under AI Chatbot. From there you can view your dashboard, review chat sessions, manage captured leads, test your chatbot, and configure the settings needed to add it to your own website.

How the Chatbot Represents Your Company

The chatbot uses your Signtag seller profile to speak on behalf of your company. Your profile already contains the business details a buyer needs: company name, contact information, service area, business hours, signage capabilities, and any extra specialties you add to your profile.

This matters because signage questions are rarely generic. A visitor may ask whether you build channel letters, install monument signs, handle permitting, work in a specific city, or take on a project outside your normal service radius. By using your profile, the chatbot can give answers that are aligned with your actual company instead of sounding like a broad, disconnected assistant.

The goal is not to replace your sales process. The goal is to answer early questions, qualify the visitor, and hand your team a clearer lead.

What It Can Help Customers With

Most website visitors are trying to understand what kind of sign they need, whether your shop can help, and what information they should provide before requesting a quote. The AI Chatbot helps guide that conversation in plain language.

  • Answer signage questions: Explain common sign types, materials, installation considerations, service areas, and project requirements.
  • Use your capabilities: Reference the signage categories and specialties listed on your seller profile.
  • Handle unsupported work: Politely redirect or decline requests that do not match your profile or service area.
  • Collect lead details: Ask for contact information, business details, location, signage type, and project notes.
  • Summarize the opportunity: Save the session and lead information so you can quickly understand what the customer needs.

AI Chatbot Dashboard

The dashboard gives you a quick overview of chatbot activity. You can see how many chat sessions have been started, how many leads have been captured, which sessions or leads are still unviewed, and how many sessions were filtered as spam.

These stats help you understand whether visitors are engaging with the chatbot and whether those conversations are producing useful sales opportunities. The dashboard cards also link directly to the related sections so you can move from the summary into the details.

Chat Sessions

Every chatbot conversation is stored as a chat session. The sessions page shows the visitor name when available, business name, creation date, and whether the conversation turned into a captured lead. New, unviewed sessions are marked so you know what still needs attention.

Opening a session shows the full conversation transcript. You can review what the visitor asked, how the assistant responded, whether the session looks promising, and whether it was marked as spam. If the conversation produced a lead, you can jump from the session directly to the captured lead record.

Captured Leads

When the chatbot gathers enough information from a visitor, it saves a captured lead. The lead list gives you the customer name, company, phone number, email address, signage type, and date captured.

The ai tool will also summarize the conversation and send you an email notification when a new lead is captured. You can open the lead record to see the full conversation transcript and review the details.

Pricing

The AI Chatbot costs $25/mo. It also requires a Claude API key. This means you will be billed separately by Anthropic based on your chatbot usage. The cost depends on how many conversations your chatbot has and how long those conversations are.

Based on our tests and estimates, in general you will likely spend around $0.12-$0.20 cents per conversation.
